According to the latest statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the city welcomed a total of 260,523 visitors over the recent 7-day Tet holiday break, up 17.3% against the same period last year.  103,482 of them were foreigners, up 30.6%, whilst the remainders were domestic visitors, up 9.9%.

The majority of the domestic visitors were from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.  Most of them chose to book their flights, hotels, and other tourism services independently via the Internet rather than buy package tours offered by travel agencies.

Ms Mai Chau and her friends from Ha Noi have visited Da Nang many times, and this year they decided to return to the city to celebrate the Tet Festival here.  All of them were impressed by the city's fresh air, friendly residents, beautiful landscapes, and delicious food specialties.
