The 2013 International Culture and Food Festival, one of the feature attractions of the 2013 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC), took place in the central city of Da Nang from April 27-30.

The festival, jointly organised by the Da Nang Center for Events and Festivals Organisation, the Russian Consulate General in Da Nang and the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam, aims to introduce great food to local residents and visitors alike, the cultural values as well as traditional cuisines of five countries, including the US, Russia, Japan, Italy and Viet Nam, who participated in 2013 DIFC.

For their Vietnam stand, Furama Danang brought traditional Vietnamese culture and food to the festival through its "Vietnamese Village Market" theme. The "Market" set up was complemented with traditional Vietnamese decors such as the straw-house, bamboo plants, banana trees and a buffalo; representing a snapshot of Vietnamese rice-culture. Furama Danang designed the Village Market theme for their meeting and event activities.

"This is a chance for guests to taste traditional Vietnamese cuisine such as My Quang, Pho, fresh and deep fried Springroll plus many more mouthwatering treats to give the visitors a feel of a true village market atmosphere", said Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh – Executive Assistant Manager of Furama Danang.

This is the first time Da Nang organized an international food day in an attempt to introduce the local civilization and foreign visitors the quintessence of different cultures and gastronomies in America, Russia, Japan, Italian and Vietnam. Dishes presented at the event bear the strong tradition of each country.

Besides joining the Culture and Food Festival, the Resort also introduced many promotions for in-house guests, such as: "Dragon Bridge" Mocktail promotion, "Vietnamese Lunch Buffet", "Live Lounge Lunch" or the very popular Central Vietnam Seafood Buffet... providing an unforgettable cultural experience for the guests to treasure during the DIFC 2013.
