The central city of Da Nang has overtaken HCMC and Ha Noi, Viet Nam's two biggest cities, to become the only Vietnamese candidate listed in the world's top 10 worth-living destinations for expats in 2018, according to a survey conducted by Live and Invest Overseas travel magazine.

Throwback to the super exciting week with the "Oriflame Vietnam – Director Seminar 2018", taking place in late March at Vietnam's largest ballroom – Ariyana Convention Centre Danang.

Commenced with a cheerful "White" themed welcome dinner at the Ariyana Grand Ballroom, guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet prepared by the professional culinary team of Furama Resort Danang while enjoying vivid sound & lighting performances.

On March 6th 2018, Furama Resort Danang's F&B Manager Mr. Le Dinh Nam and Executive Chef Mr. Doan Van Tuan visited the USS Carl Vinson, where they had the chance to visit and observe the daily catering routine of more than 100 chefs preparing the meals for 5,000 sailors.

"With our visit to the USS Carl Vinson, we aim to learn about the service preparation for large-scaled M.I.C.E events with more than 2,000 guests at Ariyana Convention Centre, as well as to prepare for the opening of Ariyana Tourism Complex with thousands of rooms", pinioned Tuan.

Inside the USS Carl Vinson, there are seven cafeterias from the commanders' designated areas to the two large cafeterias for the sailors. The dining room is well equipped with various kinds of machines from the freshly brewing beer facility to the latest design coffee maker.

The US navy vessels including the carrier USS Carl Vinson, the guided missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain and the destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer paid a friendship port call to Danang from March 5 to 9, 2018. USS Carl Vinson is a "sea fortress" of 5,000 people including crew, pilots and supporting personnel.

Shortly after the carrier's visit, Chef Doan Van Tuan joined the Culinary Exchange with navy cooks from the USS Carl Vinson. 30 U.S chefs tried their hands at making three Vietnamese traditional delicacies including fried spring rolls, My Quang noodles and the sizzling BanhXeo pancakes with help from chef Tuan and other local chefs.
