Ariyana Joint Stock Company, the owner of Furama Resort and Furama Villas Danang, was selected to build the Ariyana Convention & Exhibition Centre in preparation for the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC 2017) Summit. Located to the south of Furama Villas, the construction is expected to start in February, 2016 and completed by spring of 2017. The 3-storey Ariyana Convention & Exhibition Centre occupies an area of 4,390 m2, with a total construction area of 11,000 m2. In addition, it also includes a Grand Ballroom of 2,500 seats, 450 m2 of other meeting room space, and a 1,480 m2 foyer which is suitable for international conventions and exhibitions. There is designated parking as well as a full back of house area planned on the ground floor.
Besides, in the first quarter of 2016, the Thien Thai Joint Stock Company will start the five-star Ariyana Beach Resort and Suites project, including 800 guestrooms and suites and other functional space. It features a 1,700 m2 outdoor pool and landscape and an indoor pool including a spa and healthcare center. This is considered as one of the sustainable city project.
In addition, as part of the APEC Summit, Danang just started to upgrade the Danang International Airport which will feature an extra terminal and which is expected to be completed within 16 months. This is considered as a great effort to improve the city's identity and promote its tourism potential.
