Da Nang launched the tourist season in 2018 on April 27 at the Bien Dong Park in the city's Son Tra peninsula with a programme of more than 20 activities, aiming to lure and entertain visitors to the coastal city.

Prominent among the events will be a Kayak racing competition, a kite contest and pavilions introducing Da Nang tourism information, sea cuisines, tour services and performance of sea sports. Music performances will also be organised every night.

A painting contest themed sea and islands will be held for children, together with various other activities.

The number of tourists to the central coastal city of Da Nang reached more than 355,500 on holidays between April 28 and May 1, a year-on-year surge of 14.2 percent.

Of the total, there were over 101,600 foreigners and 253,900 domestic holiday-makers, up 20.2 percent and 12 percent respectively from the same time last year.

The majority of foreign visitors were from the Republic of Korea, Japan and China. They came to the city via direct flights.

The very typical and traditional Spanish Guitar Band “The Tune” at the Furama

On this year's trip to Asia "The Tune" brought an array of famous Spanish songs to Furama which attracted a great number of audiences during the resort's initial Festive Season events. The Tune previously performed in many countries around the world including Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Colombia, Mexico, Russia, Cambodia, Korea, China, Thailand and Hong-Kong. Their performances began at the resort's Lighting Ceremony on Dec 5th, then continued with a true Paella Evening at the Indochine Café and then followed by a "Singles Night" at the Hai Van Lounge on Tuesday, 9th of December.

With such traditional music instruments such as the "bandurria" and lute, Spanish guitar, requinto guitar; the songs were performed in their true classic style of The Tune. A lead singer is accompanied by a chorus that sings in all sequences of the refrain to the songs but, in general the choir performs their songs with no real  lead singer.

The Tune band also entertained through the evening of a true Spanish night at Cafe Indochine restaurant where guests were treated to a traditional Paella, a seafood dinner buffet, accompanied with sweet melodies from the The Tune, serenading from table to table.

Their final night, "Singles night" at Hai Van Lounge on Dec 9th, was another superb evening where singles could enjoy cocktails, listen to delightful songs and make more friends while dancing their souls away.

The Tune at Furama was a perfect occasion for local and international guests to enjoy the charming melodies and culture of Spain right here in Danang.
