Traditional Lion dance and drummer performances spread the effervescent atmosphere into the lobby of Furama Resort during the first morning of Lunar Calendar (Feb 10th, 2013). The "welcome new year" celebration was full of excitement and was wonderfully appreciated by more than 100 in-house guests coming from many different countries. Guests revelled in the spirit of the culturally auspicious day, enjoyed traditional Tet treats and drinks such as crystallized ginger "mut Gung", square glutinous rice cake "banh Chung", and Vietnamese Tea, and were wished on their way with red enveloped filled with 'lucky money".
"We take this chance to show guests the Tet's traditional Vietnamese cuisine such as Chung Cake, jam, enjoy traditional performances and feel the Tet atmosphere of Vietnamese people", said Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Executive Assistant Manager of Furama.
Together with traditional performances, the resort also introduced its Tet Buffet Dinners during the 3 days of Tet Holiday. The natural similes of staff dressed in red "Ao Dai" – Traditional Vietnamese costume, welcomed guests to the ample buffet dinner. The buffet included dishes from all regions of the country, such as "frozen meat" from the North, Dipping sauce pork from the Center and the South as well as a corner with traditional vegetarian dishes.
