VISITORS COMING TO DANANG RISES BY 27.6% DURING THE FIRST 8 MONTHS OF 2017

According to the latest statistics from the municipal Department of Tourism, Danang welcomed 730,000 visitors in August, up by 19% compared to the same period last year.

The total tourism revenue was estimated at VND 2,145.29 billion, up by 20.6% over the same period in 2016. International tourist arrivals to Danang in August was estimated to reach over 230,000, increasing by 37.5% year-on-year whilst the number of domestic tourists rose by 12.1% to an estimated 499,400.

Hence, the total number of visitors coming to Danang during the first 8 months of 2017 has reached 4,754,000 arrivals, increasing 27.6% as against the same period last year and reaching 75.5% of the targeted figure. Accordingly, the number of foreign visitors during the last 8 months has surged by 61.2% to 1.6 million arrivals while domestic travelers have been estimated at over 3,088,000, up by 14.7% year-on-year.  Total tourism revenue has reached VND 13,987.15 billion, rising by 29.4% over the same period in 2017 and achieving 75.6% of 2017's targeted figure.
