The exhibition “Lotus Whispers” at the culinary and heritage Furama Resort Danang introduces to the public 20 mesmerizing artworks by the talented young artist Thành Nguyễn, inspired by the National Flower of Vietnam – the Lotus:

“In the pond, nothing is as beautiful as the lotus

Green leaves, white flowers intermingled with yellow stamens

Golden pistils, white flowers, green leaves

Near the mud, yet not a hint of the muddy smell.”

With the artist’s refined and emotionally rich strokes, the beauty and fragrance of the lotus seem to touch the hearts of the viewers. Modesty, shyness yet noble, pure, and luminous, like the character of the Vietnamese people, are described in a modest and harmonious way.

Nguyen Duc Thanh – Master of Visual Arts at Mahasarakham University, Thailand, is an outstanding young artist, born in 1994 in the northern province of Bac Giang, Vietnam. With his gifted hands, his works have become an indispensable part of the spring exhibitions at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum from 2020 to 2023. Besides, he also participated in the South Central Highlands exhibition in Da Nang 2022, 2023, where his pieces garnered much attention and praise from the artist community and audiences.

Nguyen Duc Thanh’s artistic creations strongly reflect the cultural imprint of Vietnam, particularly focusing on the themes of lotus flowers and the imagery of Vietnamese young women. By conveying unique and delicate perspectives on these subjects, he has crafted artworks that are sophisticated, profound, and leave a powerful impression on the audiences.
