Traditional Cooking Class – Tàya House, Furama Resort Da Nang

A Heritage Space in the Heart of the Coastal City

Tàya House – a century-old Muong stilt house from Hoa Binh, now a unique cultural highlight at Furama Resort Da Nang

Originally a Muong stilt house over 100 years old, Tàya House was authentically restored from the mountainous region of Hoa Binh and has now become a distinctive cultural landmark within the tropical Lagoon garden of Furama Resort Da Nang. With its rustic palm-leaf roof, dark wooden pillars, and airy open space, the house offers guests a feeling that is both unfamiliar and warmly intimate—like stepping into a pristine slice of Vietnamese heritage.

When Each Dish Becomes a Cultural Chapter

    Chef A Rất Thị Hép

Under the dedicated guidance of Chef A Rất Thị Hép, a member of the Co Tu ethnic group who received professional training at Streets International, guests will learn how to prepare signature dishes of Central Vietnam. From the humble Mi Quang to fresh and flavorful spring rolls, every step is carefully explained, accompanied by fascinating stories about ingredients and local customs.

Together with Chef A Rất Thị Hép, guests explore Central Vietnamese flavors through Mi Quang, fresh spring rolls, and stories of Vietnamese culture.

This is not merely a cooking lesson; it is a cultural journey, where cuisine becomes a mirror reflecting the history and identity of Vietnam.

Moments of Connection in a Vietnamese Kitchen

Moments of discovering Vietnamese culture through a traditional cooking class

What makes Tàya House truly special is the sense of connection it fosters. Families can roll spring rolls together; friends can share laughter while seasoning dishes. And when everyone gathers inside the stilt house to enjoy the meal they have prepared, each dining experience becomes an unforgettable memory—not only of flavors, but of human connection.

More Than Cooking – A Complete Taste of Vietnam

At Tàya House, you are not simply joining a cooking class; you are opening a door to fully experience the soul of Vietnam through flavors, stories, and shared moments.

Mid-Autumn Mooncake Workshop – A Special Festive Experience

In addition to the traditional cooking class at Tàya House, Furama Resort Da Nang offers guests a delightful seasonal activity during the Mid-Autumn Festival: a traditional snow-skin mooncake workshop. Within the century-old Muong stilt house, surrounded by the lush Lagoon garden, guests can take part in every step of the process—from ingredient preparation and dough kneading to shaping and completing the mooncakes.

Each mooncake is not only a sweet creation to take home as a souvenir, but also an opportunity to personally “touch” a cherished cultural tradition that has accompanied Vietnamese people for generations. The workshop takes place from September 1 to October 10, 2025, promising to be a memorable highlight of every guest’s stay at Furama Resort Da Nang.
