At 12:45 PM on July 1, 2025, Philippine Airlines flight PR585 landed at Da Nang International Airport, marking the airline’s first direct flight connecting Manila (Philippines) with the coastal city of Da Nang. The first flight carried 193 passengers, opening up new opportunities for travelers to explore the exciting destinations in Central Vietnam.

According to the plan, Philippine Airlines will operate this route with a frequency of 3 flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using an Airbus A321 with 199 seats, including 12 business class seats. From November 2025, the airline will increase the frequency to 4 flights per week to meet the growing demand of passengers.
This event not only strengthens the air connection between the two countries but also creates favorable conditions for Filipino tourists to explore famous destinations in Vietnam, such as Hoi An, My Son, and Hue.
