In the first 6 months of 2025, Russia surpassed all other European countries to become the largest source market for tourists to Vietnam in the region. According to the latest statistics, approximately 260,000 Russian tourists visited Vietnam in the first half of the year, an increase of nearly 140% compared to the same period in 2024, and even exceeding the total number of Russian visitors for the entire year of 2024, which was 232,300.
The Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism emphasized: “The recovery of direct flights from Russia, along with open visa policies, reasonable travel costs, and increasingly improved service quality, have helped Vietnam score strong points in the eyes of Russian tourists.”

Among the prominent destinations, Central coastal cities such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc are top choices, thanks to their beautiful nature, high-end hotels, and more reasonable prices compared to competing countries in the region like Thailand or Indonesia.
Vietnam is gradually becoming a leading resort destination for Russian tourists, especially after the pandemic. With strong investment in infrastructure and services, along with an effective tourism promotion strategy, Vietnam promises to continue attracting a wave of Russian tourists in the coming time.
The new travel trend of Russians today is no longer limited to short-term vacations. They seek deep experiences, quiet moments by the beach, and international-standard luxury services – all in a single destination. That is why Da Nang, especially coastal resorts like Furama Resort Danang, is becoming the “focal point” of choice.
