“Hansik Night” Korean Food Promotion
From December 27th – 29th 2018, Furama Resort Danang in cooperation with Danang College of Tourism and BaekSeok Culture University (Korea) organized the “Hansik Night” Korean Food Promotion at the signature Café Indochine restaurant.
Gourmets were treated to a wide range of Korean cuisine, featuring Bulgogi, Chungmu – Gimbap, Bibimbap, etc… In addition, the buffet also introduced to guests more than 70 delicious dishes including half a lobster, unlimited scallop, squid, octopus , etc…which are cooked to your taste accompanied with 20 different kinds of homemade sauces.
The event was held under the supervisor and guidance of professors Seo Kang-tae and Cho Jeong-yoong from the BaekSeok Culture University and Furama Resort Danang’s Executive Chef Doan Van Tuan.
“Through this meaningful event, we would like to introduce delicious traditional Korean dishes with the aim of popularizing Korean cuisine culture to Vietnamese people”, opined professor Seo Kang-tae.

The Hansik Night does not only create a chance for culinary exchange between two countries but also help chefs enhance their professional skills to better satisfy international diners.

We hope that this event has brought hands-on Korean cuisine experiences to local people and international visitors staying at Furama Resort. In 2018, Korean guests made up approximately 50% of the total resident guests. This program would also help to enhance Furama chefs’ skills, creating distinctive flavors for Korean food at Furama Resort Danang.”

The 4th Pan-Asian Biomedical Science Conference
The Fourth Pan Asian Biomedical Science Conference which was organized under the aegis of the University of Danang and the Asia International Science Consortium has taken place from December 5th to December 7th, 2018 at the International Convention Palace (ICP) of the Furama Resort Danang, gathering some 200 delegates from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Biomedicine in the 21st Century: Asia-Pacific Insights” which features six tracks that are relevant to clinicians, basic scientists, and health care professionals: Clinical translation, Traditional medicine, Personalized medicine, Risk assessment, Medical devices, High thorough data and bioinformatics.
Ariyana Convention Centre Successfully Hosts Techfest Vietnam 2018
Taking place from November 29th until December 1st 2018 at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, Techfest Vietnam 2018 has attracted nearly 5,500 attendants, 250 booths, 250 investors, investment funds, domestic and international speakers from 20 countries within the region and the world, together with representatives of creative start-up organizations, investors, typical innovative start-up businesses in ASEAN, who were representing the Global Startup Network (GEN).
During the event, the seminars and workshops were organized in 8 areas: agricultural technology, education technology, medical technology, tourism technology, technology 4.0, financial technology, Social influence and start-up support with practical content as well as the participation and discussion of successful managers, investors, successful start-ups, and experienced domestic and international experts.
Investment connection activity was one of the most important parts during the event. This activity attracted the attention of many investors and start-ups. The total number of connections was registered as 160; the amount of investment interest reached USD 7, 86 million.
In addition, the Innovative Technoentrepreneur Contest, ITC held within the framework of Techfest 2018 attracted more than 600 startups from the context of technology villages and contestants of Techfest region. The top 10 startup businesses were selected to participate in the final round.
Korean Actor Song Seung Heon Photoshooting At Furama Resort Danang
The leading South Korean star Song Seung Heon has arrived in the coastal city of Danang, Vietnam for a magazine photo shooting in late November 2018. Furama Resort Danang was honored to be the chosen venue for his photo shooting and relaxation during his trip to Vietnam. He has taken photos at the resort’s renowned courtyard, staying at the Presidential Suite room and enjoying a scrumptious Central Vietnamese cuisine dinner at the Danaksara restaurant, located in the heart of Furama Villas Danang.
Born in 1976, the actor has been noted for his roles in “Autumn in my heart”, “East of Eden” and “Summer Scent”, etc. In 2012, Song Seung Heon and Kim Tae Hee used to come to Vietnam to introduce Vietnamese audiences to their famous drama “My princess”.
Welcome H.E President Of India For Official State Visit
Furama Resort Danang was honored to welcome H.E President of India Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady during a state visit to the central city of Danang on November 11th 2018. On the same evening, the Indian president and his delegation held talks with Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Nang city Truong Quang Nghia at the Danang Grand Ballroom. This is his first State visit to Vietnam since he took office in July 2017, with the aim of forging and developing the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership.

Tourist Arrivals In The City Hit Over 6.8 Million In 10 Months
Data released by the Da Nang Department of Tourism showed tourist arrivals hit over 6.8 million over the past 10 months, an increase of 21.5% posted in the same period last year.
In detail, foreign arrivals rose by 31% to reach more than 2.5 million, whilst domestic arrivals went up by 16.7% to hit over 4.3 million.
As a result, the city’s tourism sector earned an estimated 23.661 trillion VND in revenue, a rise of 43.1% against the same period of last year.
In October alone, the Department organised numerous interesting events in order to attract even more visitors to the city. Included were a photo competition entitled ‘Da Nang FantastiCity’, and a roadshow to promote tourism of Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam at the Trade Show for the Asian Travel Mart (ITB Asia Singapore).
In addition, focus was on attending the Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific in Shanghai, China, and receiving a famtrip delegation from South Korea’s Daegu.

Ariyana Tourism Complex Welcomes The Korean Fam-Trip From Daegu City
In the middle of October 2018, in conjunction with Danang Center for Tourism Promotion, Ariyana Tourism Complex helped welcome the Korean FAM-Trip for a visit to Furama Resort, Furama Villas and Ariyana Convention Centre and explored other local M.I.C.E products. The 15 delegates were management members of leading Korean travel enterprises including Hanatour, Lotte Tour, Interpark Tour, Mode Tour, Very Good Tour who boarded a direct flight by Vietjet Air from Daegu, Korea to Danang for this FAM-Trip.
Together with China and Japan, Korea is amongst the key markets for Da Nang tourism. According to a survey from NEO Marketing Plus (Korea), Da Nang city with diversified accommodation and water sports offerings has recently become a popular and ideal destination for Korean MICE. The FAM-Trip Korea opened up new business opportunities between the 2 nations.
Techfest Vietnam 2018
Ariyana Convention Centre Danang will host the Techfest Viet Nam 2018 from 29 November – 1 December. Themed “From here to Global”, this year’s event is expected to attract over 4500 attendants, a large number of foreign investors, overseas Vietnamese, and 200 startup business people from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, and China.
The event will feature many fascinating activities. Included will be a scientific workshop on incentive policies for the development of a creative and innovative startup ecosystem, a dialogue between Prime Minister and young startup business people, a thematic seminar on how to develop creative and innovative startup businesses in the aspects of agricultural and healthcare technologies, tourism and finance, and a final round of a startup contest.
Startups participating will be divided into 8 startup technology villages: Edtech, Fintech, Agritech, Tourism, Industry 4.0, Impact and Startup supporting community.

Furama Resort Danang And Ariyana Convention Centre Proudly Attend “Hue, Danang, Quang Nam Tourism Products Introduction To Singapore”
Representatives from the Culinary Beach Resort – Furama Da Nang and Ariyana Convention Centre participated in the tourism product introduction for Hue, Danang and Quang Nam to Singapore held at Pan Pacific Singapore, to connect domestic tourism companies with international travel agents. The event welcomed 31 members from 19 tour operators and distinctive tourism enterprises from these cities and provinces.
The Hue, Danang and Quang Nam tourism product introduction event took place on October 16th 2018, prior to ITB Asia – Singapore 2018 which was scheduled for October 17th, 18th and 19th, 2018. Singapore is one of the prime markets with high purchasing demands for Southeast Asian tourism.
“This [program] is expected to evolve into an annual event, aims to connect Singapore to these 3 destinations; not only for demonstrating the products but also showing the willingness of domestic enterprises. We believe that the central Vietnam region will offer a variety of choices for customers. Moreover, our partners will make use of this opportunity to showcase the destination to other potential markets,” said Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Deputy Director of Danang Tourism Department.

The ITB Asia 2018 with the “Travel Reimagined” theme will discuss MICE tourism topics and technological issues in modern tourism industry. Within the framework of the fair, the Culinary Beach Resort Furama Danang and Ariyana Convention Centre hosted a gala dinner party, creating a platform to connect key partners with potential buyers at the event.
Ariyana Convention Centre The Venue For The 16th Vietnam National Congress Of Cardiology
The 16th Vietnam National Congress of Cardiology entitled “Cardiology in the New Era: Personalized Approaches for Complex Issues” took place at the Ariyana Convention Centre from October 5th-7th 2018.
Organised by the Vietnam National Heart Association, the event attracted the participation of 2,000 domestic and foreign professors, doctors, pharmacists, and cardiologists with nearly 600 reports and research projects by leading heart experts on updated issues related to cardiology, along with nearly 200 satellite symposiums and exhibition from international pharmaceutical companies.
Once again, Ariyana Convention Centre takes pride in having had the honor to be the ideal venue for such a grand-scale health and research event.
