Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex contributes to breathing new life into Danang beaches with hundreds of coconut trees
On the morning of December 21, at Man Thai Beach (Man Thai Ward, Son Tra District), the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Danang Beaches organized a coconut tree planting ceremony as part of a campaign launched by the Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee. The program aims to create green spaces, vibrant landscapes, and reduce the impacts of climate change while mitigating coastal erosion.
A highlight of the event was the participation of Mr. Gentzsch Andre Pierre, General Manager of Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex, who actively joined the tree planting activity. This action demonstrates Furama – Ariyana’s strong commitment to community responsibility and environmental protection, establishing itself as a pioneer in sustainable tourism in Central Vietnam.
“This initiative not only contributes to environmental protection but also reflects our love for nature, standing alongside Danang City in building an image of a green, clean, and beautiful destination,” shared Mr. Gentzsch Andre Pierre.
According to the Management Board, after a month of implementation, the program has garnered strong support from over 40 organizations, businesses, and individuals, with nearly 700 coconut trees donated out of a planned total of 3,497 trees. Notably, the first phase saw the planting of over 300 trees at Man Thai Beach, with further phases scheduled to continue until Q3 2025.
Vice Chairman of the Danang People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, and Director of the Department of Tourism, Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, also participated in the tree planting ceremony. During the event, the Management Board honored contributors and placed plaques at the planting sites to acknowledge their efforts.
The coconut tree planting initiative not only enhances green spaces but also highlights the importance of collective efforts from the community and businesses in protecting the environment, aligning with Danang City’s sustainable development goals. With the active participation of the Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex, these efforts are expected to breathe new life into Danang’s beaches, leaving a lasting impression on both domestic and international visitors.
