IBH HOSPITALITY TRAINING ACADEMY OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES SWISS HOSPITALITY & TOURISM MANAGEMENT PROGRAM – SWISS EHT FROM JUNE 2025

Da Nang, May 6, 2025 – At Furama Resort Danang, the IBH Hospitality Training Academy officially launched the Swiss Executive Hospitality Training (Swiss EHT) program. This initiative is part of the “Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development in Vietnam” (ST4SD) project, funded by the Swiss Government through the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and transferred from the renowned Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).

IBH Hospitality Training Academy is proud to be one of the four pioneering institutions implementing the Swiss EHT program in Vietnam, alongside the National Economics University (Hanoi), Van Lang University, and Saigon Tourism College (Ho Chi Minh City). With a team of five “Master Trainers” who have been directly trained and internationally certified by EHL experts, IBH will officially roll out the Swiss EHT training series exclusively for the Furama – Ariyana team starting in June 2025. The program follows a clearly defined three-tier structure:

• Foundation Level: Designed for frontline employees, particularly those in direct contact with guests.

• Intermediate Level: Targeted at team leaders and supervisors—those who bridge strategy and execution.

• Advanced Level: Tailored for department heads and senior executives—those shaping vision and building organizational culture.

The Swiss EHT program not only enhances management capabilities but also fosters a network of professionals between Vietnam and Switzerland, promoting international cooperation, experience sharing, and innovation in management methods. The adoption of international standards is expected to improve service quality and better meet the demands of both domestic and global labor markets.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, General Director of Bac My An Tourism Joint Stock Company – Furama Resort, and Chairman of IBH Hospitality Training Academy, affirmed:
“This collaboration marks a significant step forward in addressing the fundamental issue of managerial workforce quality in Da Nang in particular and Vietnam’s hospitality – tourism industry in general. Swiss EHT is not merely a training course; it is a transfer of world-class service spirit, modern managerial thinking, and sustainable values from Switzerland to Vietnam. Furthermore, this course reaffirms Furama – Ariyana’s pioneering status in the high-end resort sector in Vietnam and the region.”

Associate Professor Dang Phuong Anh, Component Manager for Human Resource Development under the ST4SD project, commented:
“The implementation of Swiss EHT will contribute to developing a generation of professional tourism and hospitality managers with the ability to adapt to an internationally competitive environment while also promoting sustainable tourism development in Vietnam. Additionally, the program will build a professional network between Vietnam and Switzerland, fostering international collaboration through knowledge-sharing and innovative management practices.”

The Swiss EHT program represents a critical milestone in improving the quality of human resources in Vietnam’s tourism and hospitality sector. With support from the Swiss Government, knowledge transfer from EHL, and committed implementation by IBH Hospitality Training Academy, the program promises to make a meaningful contribution to the sustainable and professional development of Vietnam’s tourism industry in the future.
