ASIA PACIFIC ONBOARD TRAVEL (APOT) FORUM RETURNS TO DANANG, VIETNAM

Danang, Vietnam – The Asia Pacific Onboard Travel (APOT) networking forum is all set to return to Danang, Vietnam, an event that will be hosted at the culinary & heritage Furama Resort Danang from the 25th to the 28th of 2023. This marks the second time the APOT forum will grace the charming city of Danang, the previous successful hosting being in 2014.

APOT is a unique organization in the Asia Pacific region that primarily focuses on airlines and their associated industry members, including inflight services, catering, interior design, suppliers, cargo companies, tour and destination operators, and travel tourism departments. The primary objective of the event is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and new ideas among industry professionals. Notably, APOT is a non-profit organization committed to networking differently and driving positive change within the industry. This year, the organization is celebrating its 11th anniversary since its inception.

The 2023 APOT forum promises a dynamic lineup of interactive activities. The event will kick off with a media briefing in the afternoon of the 25th, followed by the SOVICO welcome cocktail party by the poolside of Furama Resort Danang, generously sponsored by the SOVICO group. On the 26th, the CATRION “Jet Setters Palette” chefs challenge, sponsored by CATRION Airline Catering Saudi Arabia, will showcase culinary expertise.

Delegates will also embark on a unique excursion to Bana Hills on the 26th, hosted by the Danang Tourism and Promotions, featuring a delightful lunch and a captivating exploration of the area. In the evening, delegates will enjoy a bus trip to Hoi An Heritage City for a tour and a sumptuous central Vietnamese traditional dinner at the esteemed Morning Glory restaurant by the river, sponsored by Ms. Vy of Taste Vietnam Group.

On the 27th, delegates will convene at the hotel for an information-sharing networking session. In the afternoon, the world-renowned Master Chef Dimuthu will demonstrate sugar arts at the Furama Resort Danang. Chef Dimuthu Kumarasinghe, or Chef DK as he is popularly known, is the Group Skills Development Chef at Aitken Spence Hotels and Heritance Hotels and Resorts. A world renowned culinary celebrity, Chef DK is the only chef in the world to ever win 9 gold medals in individual events held at two separate Culinary Olympics, once in 2004 and again in 2006. All chefs from Danang are invited to witness and participate in this enlightening session.

The evening will culminate with the Danang Tourism and Promotions Department hosting an award and closing ceremony evening at the picturesque Poseidon river cruise on the beautiful HAN river.
