FURAMA EXECUTIVE CHEF DOAN VAN TUAN INVITED AS JUDGE FOR THE 10TH VIETNAM CULINARY CHALLENGE – 2024
From March 19th to 21st, 2024, culinary talents from around the world will once again converge at the 10th Vietnam Culinary Challenge – 2024 (VNCC 2024) as part of the Food and Hotel Vietnam 2024 exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, organized by Informa Markets and Song Hoa Company. Chef Doan Van Tuan, Deputy Chairman of the Danang Culinary Culture Association, Head Chef of the Furama – Ariyana Danang International Tourism Complex, is honored to be invited as a judge for the competition.
VNCC2024 proudly stands as Vietnam’s only international standard cooking competition that celebrates culinary talents with diverse categories and an international judging panel. VNCC2024 does not have first, second, or third prizes; all participants have the opportunity to receive medals based on their scores. With many exciting challenges: Hot Dish, Dessert, Cake Decoration, Fruit & Vegetable Carving Demonstration & Display, Gingerbread Display – Vietnam’s Homeland theme, Real California Milk Pizza II, VNCC Fine Dining, Rice & Vegetarian Dishes.
Chef Doan Van Tuan – a renowned Vietnamese chef, holds the position of Executive Chef at the 5-star Furama Resort & Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, with over 20 years of experience in the culinary industry. Chef Doan Van Tuan is also a certified CBMA instructor and judge at Leizing-Avestos, an organization from Germany. It can be said that Chef Tuan is a global chef. He has spent time studying, exchanging culinary skills, and organizing Vietnamese culinary events in Japan, Italy, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, and the United States.
Currently, he serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Central Region Artists Group of the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association (VCCA) and also as the Deputy Chairman of the Artisans and Culinary Research Committee of the Danang Culinary Culture Association (DCCA). These are important organizations in the preservation and development of Vietnamese culinary culture.
Chef Doan Van Tuan hopes that the Vietnam Culinary Challenge 2024 will provide a great opportunity for chefs to exchange experiences, enhance skills, and embrace global culinary trends, especially in improving food safety and hygiene practices. This will not only improve the skills of individuals but also enhance the culinary experience for tourists when they visit Vietnam.
