IBH ACADEMY collaberate with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO)

With a focus on sustainable tourism development, the IBH Academy in Da Nang City had the honor of collaborating with a delegation from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) on November 12-13, 2024. Led by Mr. Etienne Jenni, Director of the Trade Promotion Program, the delegation, along with the ST4SD project team and leaders from the People’s Committee of Hoi An City and the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, engaged in fruitful discussions.

The delegation centered their discussions on sharing experiences and developing solutions to protect the environment and promote local economic growth through tourism. Key topics included:

• Exploring the local tourism development strategy, sustainable tourism practices of businesses, and the linkages between local government, Business Support Organizations (BSOs), and tourism enterprises in Hoi An City.
• Receiving updates on initial research findings regarding the development of sustainable tourism destinations and products in Tra Que vegetable village, Cam Ha commune, as well as the province’s green tourism criteria, conducted by domestic experts from the ST4SD project.
• Engaging in discussions with academy representatives to understand the implementation plan for the Swiss EHT Hospitality Management program.

IBH Academy was established on December 19^th, 2020, with the mission to train, foster and develop human resources with professional knowledge, skills and profession in hospitality industry according to international standards. In addition, IBH Academy also provides consulting services to partners on human resource management solutions, helping them build and develop professional, stable and quality human resources.
