Furama Resort Danang organized honoring ceremony for employees in the fourth quarter of 2023
On 25th December 2023, Furama Resort Danang hosted a ceremony to honor outstanding employees in the fourth quarter of 2023. The event saw the participation of the Board of Directors and nearly 250 staff members from Furama Resort Danang.
During the ceremony, all employees listened to heartfelt sharing from Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh – General Director of Indochina Beach Hotel JSC and Mr. Gentzsch Andre Pierre – General Manager of Ariyana – Furama Danang Tourism Complex, regarding the achievements in 2023 and specific plans for the continued success and the goals set for 2024.
In addition to recognizing individuals with outstanding performance in Q4 2023, the ceremony also provided an opportunity for the company to acknowledge the contributions of employees who have dedicated themselves to Furama Resort Danang for 10, 15, 20, and 25 years.
At the end of the ceremony, all staff members joined in a birthday celebration, extending best wishes to those born in Q4 and participating in a lucky draw. In a joyful and warm atmosphere, the ceremony was successfully conducted, fostering unity and closeness among all members of the Furama family.

Conference to implement Danang city tourism development plan in 2024
On the evening of December 20th, at the International Convention Centre of Furama Resort, Da Nang Department of Tourism organized a conference to review the tourism activities of Da Nang City in 2023 and discuss certain directions and targets for 2024.
The conference was honored by the presence of Mr. Tran Chi Cuong – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh – Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An – Director of the Danang Center for Tourism Promotion, as well as leaders of various departments and sectors, representatives of tourism associations, and nearly 200 representatives of tourism businesses in Danang city.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to the tourism industry of Da Nang in 2023, The Culinary Heritage Furama Resort Danang, is pleased to receive a certificate of commendation from the Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City.

Danang Chef Talents Competition 2023
On December 19, at the International Convention Palace (ICP) of Furama Resort Danang, the event introducing the Danang Hotels Solutions 2023 and the “Danang Chef Talents Competition 2023” took place. This event was co-organized by the Danang City Labor Federation and the Danang Hotel Association, in collaboration with the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC), the Danang Culinary Culture Association, and Furama Resort Danang. The competition received attention and sponsorship from 30 different sponsors from various industries supplying the hotel sector.
Under the theme “Danang Cuisine Integrating into the World,” the competition attracted the participation of 40 professional and talented chefs from hotels, supermarkets, and restaurants in Da Nang. Twenty teams competed with the theme “Danang Cuisine Integrating into the World,” promising impressive dishes that adhere to international standards. The competition showcased creative combinations of imported chicken from the USA and local spices.
In addition to the main event, various sideline activities attracted widespread interest from Hotel Association members, service providers, and tourism-related businesses. These included a 30-booth exhibition, showcasing products related to Danang Hotel Solutions 2023 such as food, kitchen equipment, and technology companies. There were also workshops on Purchasing Club, Danang Hotel Association Conference, Business and Marketing in the Modern Era, Room Division Workshop, Information Technology Workshop, and Finance Club Workshop.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of the Danang Hotel Association, shared, “The Danang Chef Talents Competition and the Exhibition of Danang Hotel Solutions are annual events, and this year marks the second time they have been held in Danang. This year’s event has received strong support from many accompanying units, sponsors, hotels, and resorts participating, indicating a robust recovery and a bright future for Danang’s tourism.”

Furama Resort Danang ranks among the Vietnam Top 5 Hospitality Reputation Awards 2023
On December 14, 2023, Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report) officially announced the Top 10 prestigious Tourism Companies in 2023 and the Top 5 prestigious Hotels and Resorts in 2023.
The rankings were established based on scientific and objective criteria. Companies were evaluated and ranked according to three main criteria: (1) Financial capacity reflected in financial reports from 2022 to the present; (2) Media reputation assessed through the Media Coding method – coding articles about the company on influential media channels; (3) Surveys of research subjects and stakeholders conducted from October to December 2023.

The 31st Danang Congress of Asian Taiwan Chamber of Commerce
On December 8, at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, the first events of The 31st Danang Congress of Asian Taiwan Chamber of Commerce took place. The Congress was honored to welcome the Chief Representative Office Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam – Mr. Shih Rui Chi and his wife, the President of Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) – Mr. Vu Tien Loc, General President of the Asia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Association – Mr. Hsu Yu Lin, with the participation of more than 800 international delegates, gathering from 20 countries in Asia.
On the sidelines of the event were the exhibition, internal meetings, and a party to welcome delegates to the beautiful city of Danang.
On the evening of December 9, “the 31st Danang Congress Asia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce” officially closed with sessions and a successful Gala night. Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organizes training on planning and finance for the year 2023
On the morning of December 7th, at Furama Resort, Da Nang, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) held the opening ceremony for the training conference on planning and finance for the year 2023. Deputy Minister of MoNRE, Mr. Tran Quy Kien, attended and delivered directives at the conference.
Among the attendees were Mr. Dang Ngoc Diep, Head of the Planning and Finance Department (MoNRE), along with representatives of the leadership from departments, offices, administrative units, and public entities under the Ministry. Nearly 500 officials engaged in planning and finance activities from various units under the Ministry nationwide also participated in the conference.

“Danang Chef Talents Competition 2023” is scheduled for December 19, 2023, and is making a highly anticipated return to the renowned culinary and heritage resort destination of Vietnam, Furama Resort Danang. The event will take place at the Furama International Convention Palace.
Chef Doan Van Tuan, the Executive Chef of the Furama and Ariyana Tourism Complex, and the Vice President of the Central Region Artisan Cluster of the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association (VCCA), is one of the esteemed judges for this year’s competition.

ASIA PACIFIC ONBOARD TRAVEL (APOT) FORUM RETURNS TO DANANG, VIETNAM
Danang, Vietnam – The Asia Pacific Onboard Travel (APOT) networking forum is all set to return to Danang, Vietnam, an event that will be hosted at the culinary & heritage Furama Resort Danang from the 25th to the 28th of 2023. This marks the second time the APOT forum will grace the charming city of Danang, the previous successful hosting being in 2014.
APOT is a unique organization in the Asia Pacific region that primarily focuses on airlines and their associated industry members, including inflight services, catering, interior design, suppliers, cargo companies, tour and destination operators, and travel tourism departments. The primary objective of the event is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and new ideas among industry professionals. Notably, APOT is a non-profit organization committed to networking differently and driving positive change within the industry. This year, the organization is celebrating its 11th anniversary since its inception.
The 2023 APOT forum promises a dynamic lineup of interactive activities. The event will kick off with a media briefing in the afternoon of the 25th, followed by the SOVICO welcome cocktail party by the poolside of Furama Resort Danang, generously sponsored by the SOVICO group. On the 26th, the CATRION “Jet Setters Palette” chefs challenge, sponsored by CATRION Airline Catering Saudi Arabia, will showcase culinary expertise.
Delegates will also embark on a unique excursion to Bana Hills on the 26th, hosted by the Danang Tourism and Promotions, featuring a delightful lunch and a captivating exploration of the area. In the evening, delegates will enjoy a bus trip to Hoi An Heritage City for a tour and a sumptuous central Vietnamese traditional dinner at the esteemed Morning Glory restaurant by the river, sponsored by Ms. Vy of Taste Vietnam Group.
On the 27th, delegates will convene at the hotel for an information-sharing networking session. In the afternoon, the world-renowned Master Chef Dimuthu will demonstrate sugar arts at the Furama Resort Danang. Chef Dimuthu Kumarasinghe, or Chef DK as he is popularly known, is the Group Skills Development Chef at Aitken Spence Hotels and Heritance Hotels and Resorts. A world renowned culinary celebrity, Chef DK is the only chef in the world to ever win 9 gold medals in individual events held at two separate Culinary Olympics, once in 2004 and again in 2006. All chefs from Danang are invited to witness and participate in this enlightening session.
The evening will culminate with the Danang Tourism and Promotions Department hosting an award and closing ceremony evening at the picturesque Poseidon river cruise on the beautiful HAN river.

FORUM “OPPORTUNITIES FOR VIETNAMESE BUSINESS”
On November 10th, the forum “OPPORTUNITIES FOR VIETNAMESE BUSINESS” was organized by the Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam – Da Nang Chapter (AmCham Da Nang) at Furama International Convention Palace.
The forum had the honor of hosting distinguished guests, including Mr. Marc E.
