Tourist Arrivals In The City Hit Over 6.8 Million In 10 Months
Data released by the Da Nang Department of Tourism showed tourist arrivals hit over 6.8 million over the past 10 months, an increase of 21.5% posted in the same period last year.
In detail, foreign arrivals rose by 31% to reach more than 2.5 million, whilst domestic arrivals went up by 16.7% to hit over 4.3 million.
As a result, the city’s tourism sector earned an estimated 23.661 trillion VND in revenue, a rise of 43.1% against the same period of last year.
In October alone, the Department organised numerous interesting events in order to attract even more visitors to the city. Included were a photo competition entitled ‘Da Nang FantastiCity’, and a roadshow to promote tourism of Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam at the Trade Show for the Asian Travel Mart (ITB Asia Singapore).
In addition, focus was on attending the Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific in Shanghai, China, and receiving a famtrip delegation from South Korea’s Daegu.
