Furama Resort Danang Honored With Golden Dragon Award 2019

Furama Resort Danang has just received the 9th Golden Dragon award for its achievements and contributions to the development and image of the Tourism Industry in Veitnam.

The award is held annually by the Vietnam Economic Times (VET) in collaboration with Foreign Investment Agency (under the Ministry of Planning and Investment), and Furama Resort Danang has received this for the 8th time in a row.

The Golden Dragon award is one of the largest events held by VET, aimed at recognising foreign-invested enterprises that have achieved outstanding business performance and made significant contributions to the development of Vietnam’s economy.
The award criteria focuses on businesses’ efforts to maintain sustainable development, promote environmental protection and fulfil the corporate social responsibility.

Over 22 years of development, Furama Resort Danang has always tried its utmost to maintain its leading role status within Vietnam’s luxurious beach resort market. It is the result of the resort’s efforts to improve management and diversify services, especially culinary services in order to meet various demands and changes within the of Tourism Industry.  Since its establishment in October 2017, our second convention centre – Ariyana Convention Centre & the International Convention Palace, have gained immense recognition when being selected as the venue for more than 80% of APEC 2017 events. The Golden Dragon award came on the heels of the resort being granted “Most popular M.I.C.E resort” award by Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), “Luxury Beach Front Villa” by World Luxury Hotel Awards 2018, “Certificate of Merit 2018” by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, “Most Favoured Hotel in 2017” by JALPAK Award (Japan), and “The Guide Awards 2017-2018” by Vietnam Economic Times and Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The “Hanoi Night” themed dinner buffet to celebrate the Reunification Day and Labor Day has welcomed over 300 visitors to the Furama Resort Danang. With a sumptuous menu of more than 80 dishes including seafood “cooked to your taste” and traditional Vietnamese delicacies, diners had the opportunity to enjoy premium lobster and unlimited scallops, prawns, clams, octopus, New Zealand mussels and sea snails processed at the open kitchen of Café Indochine restaurant. Besides, diners also immersed in melodies from the interesting combination of 16-chord traditional zither and the enchanting piano melodies performed by the Furama Danang artists.

Furama Resort Danang Receives Rakuten Travel Award 2018

We are truly honoured to share with you that Furama Resort Danang has just been granted “Rakuten Travel Bronze Award 2018” by the Japanese online travel agency- Rakuten Travel. Mr. Matthias Wiesmann – General Manager was invited to receive the award.

This is the first time Furama Resort Danang has received this prestigious award. The Bronze Award recognition is based on five criteria which include: Gross Revenue, Room Nights Sold, Share Ratio, Year on Year Performance and Customer Satisfaction. Rakuten Travel Award winners represent the best of their kinds, hotels that gained high rate of customers’ satisfaction and achieved remarkable success through their hard work and the Japanese “spirit of omotenashi (hospitality)”.

Lexmark Gala Dinner At Ocean Ballroom

More than 30 members from Lexmark company gathered to attend a gorgeous Gala Dinner on April 05th 2019. The feast was organised at the Ocean Ballroom, Furama Resort Danang where guests were treated to delectable dishes from the sumptuous Vietnamese Set Dinner.

Founded in 1991, Lexmark International, Inc. is a privately held American company that manufactures laser printers and imaging products. Since 2016 it has been jointly owned by a consortium of three Chinese companies: Apex Technology, PAG Asia Capital, and Legend Capital.

South Korea To Open Consulate General In Danang

Vietnam News journalist from KBS in Seoul cited that South Korea is going to open a new Consulate in Danang, Vietnam and an Embassy in Latvia.

These are the two new details on the bill passed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea on 19 March.
Danang is a popular attraction for South Koreans, welcoming 1 million tourists every year. The opening of Consulate General office in Danang will enable the development of tourism, as well as ensure the safety and benefits of Korean travellers.
At the same time, South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs will increase 13 officers to assist with consulate matters in 13 offices in countries like Laos and UK.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also assign human resources to assist in “Korea’s New Southern Policy”, diplomatic relationships in MIKTA countries (South Korea, Mexico, Indonesia, Turkey and Australia), and India.
The Ministry evaluates that this is an opportunity to reform and reinforce consulate services and security for Korean citizens

Korean Actor Lee Seon Kyun’s “Marie Claire” Magazine Photo-Shooting At Furama Resort Danang

Famous monthly magazine “Marie Claire” has just revealed its April issue, showcasing the latest fashion photo collection of leading Korean actor Lee Sun Kyun, which was conducted at Furama Danang from March 3rd -7th 2019.

During his stay in Danang, he has chosen the beachfront Diamond villa of the fabulous Furama Villas Danang where he has conducted the photo shooting for a famous magazine and resided here thanks to its pure atmosphere and romantic landscape and enjoyed a scrumptious Seafood Market Dinner Buffet at the renowned Café Indochine restaurant.

Lee Sun Kyun, born 1975, began his career in musical theatre. Coffee Prince TV series (2007), along with medical drama White Tower (2007) which brought Lee to mainstream popularity and which was then followed with Pasta (2010) and Miss Korea (2013). Meanwhile, on the big screen, he received a Best Actor award from the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival for his role in Paju (2009), followed by critical acclaim in the mystery thriller Helpless (2012), romantic comedy All About My Wife (2012), and crime/black comedy A Hard Day (2014).

Previously, another famous Korean actor Song Seung Heon has also chosen Furama Resort Danang for his photo shooting for the Korean magazine “1st Look”.
