This year, the festival will be held from June 29 to July 5, 2025, at the Furama – Ariyana International Tourism Complex in Danang, once again showcasing outstanding cinematic works from Korea, Japan, Thailand, India, and many other Asian film industries. Returning on a larger scale, DANAFF 2025 brings with it many new highlights, reflecting the ambition of Vietnamese and Asian cinema to reach global audiences. Over the span of 7 days, the event will present more than 100 films from across Asia, with hundreds of screenings catering to cinema lovers.
One of this year’s most anticipated highlights is the “DANAFF Talents” program. This initiative features training workshops and specialized seminars to nurture promising cinematic ideas. Selected projects will have the opportunity to pitch directly to industry leaders such as Christian Jeune (Cannes Film Festival) and Isabelle Glachant, competing for prizes worth thousands of dollars.
Throughout the event, Korean cinema will be the spotlight national focus of 2025. By curating a program of both classic and contemporary films, alongside academically-driven seminars, the festival fosters cultural exchange and a deeper understanding of Korean cinema. Moreover, for the first time, DANAFF will host outdoor film screenings, adding a refreshing element compared to last year’s season. Attendees will enjoy artist talk shows, behind-the-scenes exhibitions, and interactive activities connecting the public with the film industry.
