Raising Guests’ Awareness Through “Go Green @ Fabulous Furama Danang” Campaign
Over the years, Furama Resort Danang has always chosen environmentally-friendly investment solutions, with energy power lighting, advanced technology in air-conditioning, solar water heating, and the reuse of bio-fuels.
In keeping with that commitment on maintaining a clean and healthy environment, Furama Resort Danang continued its Go Green campaign with the Tree Planting Ceremony for Mr. Nguyen Van Nam – the resort’s loyal guest on July 6th 2019.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Nam has planted a Purple Queen’s Flowers Tree by himself in the lush garden of Furama Villas Danang and expressed his happiness towards this meaningful campaign.

Danang Department Of Tourism To Organise Tourism Promotion Program In Mumbai, India
With the aim of developing tourism to broader and diversified international tourist markets, Danang is convinced that India is a potential market that needs to be promoted more. Accordingly, Danang Department of Tourism will organise a roadshow to introduce Danang tourism in Mumbai on July 25th, 2019.
The leaders of Danang Department of Tourism, Travel Agency Management Section, Danang Center for Tourism Promotion and many tourism enterprises in the city will attend the program, with the presence of General Consulate of Vietnam in Mumbai, Indian Association of Travel Agencies in Mumbai, Indian tour operators and event organizations.
The road-show will include the introduction of new tourism products, promotion programs, and the exchange program in Danang travel industry. Danang Center for Tourism Promotion, additionally, will cooperate with Bangkok Airways to introduce new air routes, discuss the promotion of direct flights from Mumbai – Danang, and facilitate tourism cooperation between the two cities in particular and between Vietnam and India in general.
Mr. Cong Nghia Nam – Director of Sales of Ariyana Convention Centre and Furama Resort Danang will participate in this roadshow.
Furama Resort Da Nang Hosts The 6th Vietnam International Conference In Finance
Considered as the largest financial conference in the country, the 6th Vietnam International Conference in Finance (VICIF) brought together the most prestigious domestic and foreign scholars from universities around the world. This year, VICIF was held at Furama Resort Danang in 04th and 05th of July, 2019. The seminar was hosted by Danang University of Economics, Vietnam Finance Association International (VFAI), Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh city University of Economics, University of Economics – Law and the Open University.
VICIF 2019 attracted the participation of 35 scholars from the universities of the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Singapore, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong and China besides the presence of 45 scientists from leading universities in Vietnam. The highlight of this year’s conference is the attendance and presentation of keynote speakers: Professor Sumit Agarwal – Professor of Finance, Economics and Real Estate at National University of Singapore. With in-depth studies in variety fields of finance, Professor Sumit Agarwal has brought up at VICIF attractive and intensive essays for the conference participants.

Central Vietnam Among Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Asia-Pacific Destinations For 2019
Central Vietnam was recently named among the top 10 leading destinations in the Asia-Pacific region to visit this year by Lonely Planet, the well-known global travel site.
The vast region of the Asia-Pacific has its food delights, its forests, its seas teeming with life, and its cities fizzing with culture and creativity. Lonely Planet’s travel experts explored its highlands, islands, and everything in between to find the best places to visit this year.
Book-ended by the kinetic energy of Ho Chi Minh City and the (slightly) more relaxed historic ambience of Hanoi, central Vietnam is one of the country’s most diverse regions, the site wrote.
It praised Hue’s vibrant cuisine showcasing the city’s imperial legacy, while further south, in Hoi An ancient town’s storied laneways, local dishes include fragrant “cao lau” noodles. Seafood is the star in nearby Da Nang, and the city on the banks of the Han River is becoming one of Vietnam’s most exciting urban destinations.
Lonely Planet also appreciated the international air links with many Asian cities providing easy access to attractions like the recently famous Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hills near Da Nang and the world-beating caves and rugged river and jungle wilderness of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh province, Vietnam’s “Kingdom of Caves”, including the world’s largest cave, Son Doong.
The first sightseeing tour by seaplane between Hue and Da Nang was launched recently by Hai Au Aviation, with 30-minute, 40-minute, and 80-minute flights, providing tourists with a bird’s eye view of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the two cities as well as the country’s most beautiful coastal scenery. Hai Au Aviation plans to open a similar service between Da Nang and Dong Hoi city in Quang Binh, which will shorten the travel time from six to seven hours by road to only 70 minutes by air and give passengers an impressive view over the central region.
Other places on the Lonely Planet list include Margaret River and southern Western Australia in Australia, Shikoku in Japan, the Bay of Islands and Northland in New Zealand, Singapore, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Palawan in the Philippines, Beijing in China, and Cambodia.
Vietnam hosted 45.5 million domestic tourists and 8.5 million foreign tourists in the first half of this year, up 6 per cent and 7.5 per cent year-on-year, respectively, according to the General Statistics Office.

Experience Italian Cuisine At Furama Resort Danang
Furama Resort Danang, with the support of Casa Rinaldi and New Viet Diary company, organized its “Italian Cuisine Week: A Taste of Italy” from May 22nd -25th, 2019 at the Italian restaurant Don Cipriani’s. The dishes were prepared by the Italian Chef: Simone Bianchi.
This guest chef from the “spaghetti country” – Simone Bianchi, with his 20 years of working experience at famous global hotels and restaurants; such as: Park Hyatt Milano (Italy), Casa Rinaldi (Hong Kong), Ciao Chow (Hong Kong) joined his hands with Furama Resort Danang team to introduce to local people a unique culinary journey, including typical Italian dishes, with fresh ingredient imported from his country.
“Taking place right before the Danang International Food Festival and Danang International Fireworks Festival, this program is expected to diversify the city’s tourism products during this summer. We hope this program will enrich the culinary and cultural experiences of international and local tourists”, said Mr. Matthias Wiesmann – General Manager of Furama Resort Danang.
During 4 nights of the Italian Cuisine Week, the chef presented a 4-course menu for lunch and 5-course menu for dinner, featuring Beef tartare with crispy radish and truffle paste, Spaghetti with fresh lobster and lobster bisque, Sautéed lamb loins served with couscous, grapes and red wine sauce or Gnocchi with tuna, citrus fruits and shaved Pecorino, Manicotti alla carbonara di mare – creamy seafood pasta, etc. Lunch and dinner parties priced at 666,000 VND ++ / person (original price: 805,000 ++) and 999,000 ++ / person (original price: 1,265,000 VND ++).

On 12th June 2019, at The Cityview Hong Kong Hotel, Danang Center for Tourism Promotion (Danang Department of Tourism) organizes Danang Tourism Presentation to promote tourism products and services in Danang, connect tourism firms in Hong Kong and Danang as well as promoting the direct flight Hong Kong – Danang, operated by Jetstar Pacific Airlines.
The event welcomes the attendance of Mr. Tran Thanh Huan – Consul General, Vietnam Consulate General in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Association of Travel Agents, more than 60 representatives of tourism businesses in Hong Kong as well as local journalists and reporters. The leader of Danang group is Mrs. Huynh Thi Huong Lan – Deputy Director of Danang Center for Tourism Promotion, and the representatives of Danang Tourism Association, airlines, together with hotels, and golf courses in Danang.

At the end of 2018, Danang has 785 accommodation providers with 35,615 standard rooms. There are 79 four or five-star hotels, with 15,400 rooms. Total tour operators number is 331 companies, in which there are 220 international tour operators.
Danang International Fireworks Festival 2019 (DIFF 2019)
Eight world-class teams from Italy, Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, China, the United Kingdom and Vietnam will come together in the central city of Da Nang for a pyrotechnic competition that will light up the night skies like never before. This year’s competition is themed ‘Stories by the Rivers’.
This is the 10th time Da Nang organizes this event, and it is expected to attract more people to visit this beautiful city.
With story-telling rivers as the theme, fireworks display this year will feature cultural and historical stories of participating countries through the metaphor of rivers.
The festival will be taken place in five nights with five performances and the two most outstanding teams will compete in the final on July 6th:

International Children’s Day Celebration At Ariyana Convention Centre
On June 01st 2019, more than 400 children of Furama Resort Danang, Furama Villas Danang and Ariyana Convention Centre’s executives attended an exciting Children’s Day celebration at the Ariyana Convention Centre. At the ceremony, children with good academic achievements in the 2018-2019 school year were awarded and received incentives from the Board and Trade Union of Furama Resort Danang.
Additionally, all children also participated in various thrilling games such as fishing, statue painting and also many interesting gifts were distributed to all the children from and elaborate Lucky Draw.
This annual activity, with the support from the Management and Trade Union of Furama Resort Danang supports the social and spiritual life of all their staff members.
