9th International Asia Pacific Society Of Infection Control (Apsic) To Take Place At Ariyana Convention Centre

The 9th International Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) Congress will be held from March 19th – 22th, 2019 at Ariyana Convention Centre in the beautiful coastal city of Danang in Central Vietnam.

This is the first time for Vietnam to host an APSIC Congress, which promises many innovative and engaging parallel sessions. This biennial congress will be an opportunity for attendees to exchange and gain up-to-date knowledge on Prevention & Control Infection, Patient Safety & Quality Improvement. The event is expected to attract a large number of distinguished international and local speakers during this four-day congress.

APSIC 2019’s highlights include: Update on prevention and control of healthcare associated infections, especially device associated infections; Management of emerging infectious diseases and outbreaks; Antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship program and Management of medical instruments and hospital environment.

The Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) was established in 1998 and is a multi-national voluntary organisation dedicated to the advancement of infection control practice to reduce hospital associated infections, monitor and control emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and improved patient outcomes. APSIC aims to bring together multidisciplinary infection control professionals in the region to share their expertise, quality improvement approaches and research findings by facilitating the exchange of information through training courses, seminars, congresses and conferences in the Asia Pacific region.

Fascinating Lunar New Year Celebrations At Furama Resort Danang

In order to welcome the Lunar New Year – Year of the Dog, a wide variety of activities have been taken place at Furama Resort Danang before and during Tet holiday.

Taking place from January 29th until 31st 2019 (December 24th – 26th according to Lunar Calendar), the popular “Tet Village Market” which attract thousands of local as well as international guests each year was held at the Furama’s International Convention Palace and Furama’s garden as a joyous tribute to the Year of the Pig and provided a golden chance for family gatherings, especially for overseas Vietnamese who came back to the motherland for Tet holiday.

Over the course of this fun, a snapshot of Vietnamese rice-culture, bamboo plants, banana trees and especially food stalls was reconstituted for visitors to stop by and enjoy square and cylinder formed glutinous rice cakes together with hot tea.

A selection of Vietnamese gastronomic cuisine, highlighting Cao Lau noodles, Hanoi “Bun thang” noodles soup, Hoian “Cao Lau” noodles soup, Danang chicken rice, Saigon Spring Rolls, etc were introduced to the guests to discover the so-called Vietnamese quintessence.

Bamboo dragon flies, silk lanterns, bamboo flutes, and bonsai were be available for gifts and home decoration whilst the popular fortune telling as well as calligraphy booths attracted a significant number of visitors to foresee bad luck, welcome good luck and learn more on their own destiny.

In addition, the resort also kept the custom of giving lucky money and holding a lion dance performance to bring tourists cosiness, especially for those who celebrate Tet far away from home on the first day of the new year. Hundreds of colorful lanterns welcomed visitors in the lobby. A blooming yellow Apricot plant and red firecracker strips covered the space with warm colors. These simple decorated rituals have brought Vietnamese Lunar New year atmosphere to visitors around the world.

Exciting 2018 Year-End Staff Party For Furama And Ariyana’ Employees

On January 04th 2019, the 2018 Year-end Staff Party was organized by Furama Resort Danang and Ariyana Company for their employees at the Ariyana Convention Centre.

Year-end Staff Party is an annual “big day” for all Furama and Ariyana’ staff where they can indulge themselves in their own party and enjoy scrumptious culinary delights.

Attended by more than 600 employees, this year’s event marked another highlight of the fruitful year for Furama Resort, Furama Villas and Ariyana Convention Centre.

Organized in a luxurious ambiance of the only oceanfront meeting convention venue in Vietnam, the party featured 10 wonderful and sophisticated performances from all departments, with the First prize belonging to the Housekeeping Department for the contemporary dance performance “Muoi Man” (“Salt”).

The event also honoured two excellent Employees of the Year: Mr. Dinh Hong Giang from Engineering Department and Mr. Hoang Vinh Sang from Sales & Marketing Department.

Another highlight of the party was the valuable gifts handed to staff from the Lucky Draw including HD Bank debit ATM cards, various accommodation vouchers at renowned resorts throughout Vietnam and many more. The special prize of 30 million dongs belonged to Mai Thi Dang Dung – Linen Attendant – Housekeeping Department.

To end yet another wonderful year, all employees rocked the night up with exciting music provided by a professional DJ.

Impressive “Broadway Night” – Countdown To The New Year 2019

Broadway Night – Furama Resort Danang’s unique end-of-year celebration was successfully organised at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang on December 31st, 2018.

The spectacular night of culture, art, and entertainment featured a blend of the finest musical excerpts with the marvelous interaction between music, lights effects and stage designs, delighting more than 500 guests with one surprise after another which they will cherish for a long time.

In this one-night-only event, the spectacular Broadway show marking one of the greatest entertaining parties following its heydays of the last century excited guests with 1960s musical excerpts, featuring “Westside Story”, “Singing in the rain”, etc… performed by singer Au Bao Ngan from The Voice 2013 and famous artists from Ho Chi Minh City.

For those who are passionate about the delicate cuisines, a hearty International Dinner Buffet was introduced by Furama Resort Danang Master Chefs in the most luxuriously mesmerizing ambiance with more than 130 fabulous dishes including fresh seafood, finest lobsters, premium Wagyu beef Teppanyaki style, BBQ seafood, Foie gras, huge cheese & dessert buffet and many more delicacies from all around the world.

“Hansik Night” Korean Food Promotion

From December 27th – 29th 2018, Furama Resort Danang in cooperation with Danang College of Tourism and BaekSeok Culture University (Korea) organized the “Hansik Night” Korean Food Promotion at the signature Café Indochine restaurant.

Gourmets were treated to a wide range of Korean cuisine, featuring Bulgogi, Chungmu – Gimbap, Bibimbap, etc… In addition, the buffet also introduced to guests more than 70 delicious dishes including half a lobster, unlimited scallop, squid, octopus , etc…which are cooked to your taste accompanied with 20 different kinds of homemade sauces.

The event was held under the supervisor and guidance of professors Seo Kang-tae and Cho Jeong-yoong from the BaekSeok Culture University and Furama Resort Danang’s Executive Chef Doan Van Tuan.

“Through this meaningful event, we would like to introduce delicious traditional Korean dishes with the aim of popularizing Korean cuisine culture to Vietnamese people”, opined professor Seo Kang-tae.

This program would also help to enhance Furama chefs’ skills, creating distinctive flavors for Korean food at Furama Resort Danang.”

The 4th Pan-Asian Biomedical Science Conference

The Fourth Pan Asian Biomedical Science Conference which was organized under the aegis of the University of Danang and the Asia International Science Consortium has taken place from December 5th to December 7th, 2018 at the International Convention Palace (ICP) of the Furama Resort Danang, gathering some 200 delegates from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Biomedicine in the 21st Century: Asia-Pacific Insights” which features six tracks that are relevant to clinicians, basic scientists, and health care professionals: Clinical translation, Traditional medicine, Personalized medicine, Risk assessment, Medical devices, High thorough data and bioinformatics.
