In order to welcome the Lunar New Year – Year of the Dog, a wide variety of activities have been taken place at Furama Resort Danang before and during Tet holiday.

Taking place from January 29th until 31st 2019 (December 24th – 26th according to Lunar Calendar), the popular “Tet Village Market” which attract thousands of local as well as international guests each year was held at the Furama’s International Convention Palace and Furama’s garden as a joyous tribute to the Year of the Pig and provided a golden chance for family gatherings, especially for overseas Vietnamese who came back to the motherland for Tet holiday.

Furama Resort Danang Brings Warmth To Po Ning Village In Quang Nam Province And Danang Oncology Hospital

On January 10th 2019, the Trade Union of Furama Resort Danang made the first charity trip in 2019 to bring the joy of warmth to Po Ning Village, Lang Commune, Tay Giang District in Quang Nam Province.

40 gift sets including blankets, clothes, hats, rice and instant noodles were presented to the poor Co Tu ethnic minority people.  In addition, VND 25 million was donated to build a public restroom for the local people who are in disadvantageous living condition. There are a total number of 140 households in the Po Ning Village where the sanitation system is still limited.

Mr. Phan Duc – President of Furama Resort Danang’s Trade Union opined: “We believe that, beside all essential commodities, the public restroom which is going to be built soon will be a meaningful activity contributing to improve the living condition of local people in Po Ning Village.”

Throughout the years, Furama Resort Danang always takes active roles in social activities, including supporting S.O.S children in Danang, donating to help victims of storms and floods, building charity houses, taking care of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, organizing Children Day and Mid-autumn festivals for orphans and many more.

Followed volunteer program to build a public restroom for Co Tu ethnic minority in Po Ning village, Tay Giang District, Quang Nam Province at the beginning of January 2019, on January 22nd, 2019 the Trade Union of the Furama Resort Danang visited and gave gifts on the occasion of the lunar New Year to the patients of Danang Oncology Hospital. 20 gift packages including Tet candies, cookies and VND 1,000,000 in cash per package were given to 20 kid patients being treated in hospital. The program aims to contribute to alleviate the pain of illness for cancer patients as well as create a warm spring atmosphere for the children.

Exciting 2018 Year-End Staff Party For Furama And Ariyana’ Employees

On January 04th 2019, the 2018 Year-end Staff Party was organized by Furama Resort Danang and Ariyana Company for their employees at the Ariyana Convention Centre.

Year-end Staff Party is an annual “big day” for all Furama and Ariyana’ staff where they can indulge themselves in their own party and enjoy scrumptious culinary delights.

Attended by more than 600 employees, this year’s event marked another highlight of the fruitful year for Furama Resort, Furama Villas and Ariyana Convention Centre.

Organized in a luxurious ambiance of the only oceanfront meeting convention venue in Vietnam, the party featured 10 wonderful and sophisticated performances from all departments, with the First prize belonging to the Housekeeping Department for the contemporary dance performance “Muoi Man” (“Salt”).

The event also honoured two excellent Employees of the Year: Mr. Dinh Hong Giang from Engineering Department and Mr. Hoang Vinh Sang from Sales & Marketing Department.

Impressive “Broadway Night” – Countdown To The New Year 2019

Broadway Night – Furama Resort Danang’s unique end-of-year celebration was successfully organised at Ariyana Convention Centre Danang on December 31st, 2018.

The spectacular night of culture, art, and entertainment featured a blend of the finest musical excerpts with the marvelous interaction between music, lights effects and stage designs, delighting more than 500 guests with one surprise after another which they will cherish for a long time.

In this one-night-only event, the spectacular Broadway show marking one of the greatest entertaining parties following its heydays of the last century excited guests with 1960s musical excerpts, featuring “Westside Story”, “Singing in the rain”, etc… performed by singer Au Bao Ngan from The Voice 2013 and famous artists from Ho Chi Minh City.

Fantastic 2018 Christmas Eve Celebration At Ariyana Convention Centre

On December 24th 2018, more than 400 guests have attended the Christmas Eve celebration at Ariyana Convention Centre.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous Buffet Dinner with more than 60 delightful dishes, featuring “Smoked salmon”, “Lasagna”, “Char-siu style young pork ribs”, “Spaghetti Bolognese” etc. The X-mas buffet also highlighted traditional Vietnamese cuisine such as “Fresh Noodle Soup with River Crabs”, “Cao Lau Noodle Soup” and mouth-watering desserts such as “White Forest Cream Cake”, “Hazelnut and Raspberry Gateau”, “Tofu and Lychee Soup”.

Cambodian King Visits Furama Resort Danang

On December 20th – 21st 2018, Furama Resort Danang was honoured to welcome His Majesty the King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni as part of his vacation visit in Danang city.

The King arrived in Hanoi capital city on December 19th, as he embarked on a three-day “friendship building” official visit to Vietnam. His visit to Hanoi and Danang followed an invitation from the government.

The visit’s objective was to boost bilateral ties between both countries, which was the purpose the King met with Vietnamese president Nguyen Phu Trong.

King Norodom Sihamoni, 67, was officially crowned on October 29th, 2004. During his adolescence, he studied music, drama and dance and graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts (AMU) in Prague. He also graduated with a Master’s degree on filmmaking in North Korea; taught classical dance at numerous academies in France and later became president of the Khmer Dance Association in France. In 1993 the prince was appointed Cambodia’s delegate to UNESCO in Paris, where he became known for his hard work and his devotion to Cambodian culture.

Danang was his final destination in Vietnam after the King’s meeting with Party General Secretary – President Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi. He also spent time visiting the Cham museum, Ling Ung pagoda and stayed at the Furama Resort Danang, where he was treated to popular local dishes sophisticatedly prepared by the resort’s professional culinary team.

Foreign Tourists Flock To Da Nang City On New Year Day

The Da Nang Airport in the central coastal city of the same name on January 1 welcomed the first international flight of this year which carried 180 visitors from Hong Kong (China).

The tourists on Flight UO550 of the Hong Kong Express arrived at the airport at 7:50 am to a welcome ceremony consisting of art performances, and flower and gift presentation.

Meanwhile, more than 2,000 Chinese tourists arrived at Tien Sa port in the afternoon the same day on board of the Italian-registered Costa Atlantica cruiser as the first foreign visitors coming to Da Nang this year on a sea route.

Leading officials of the municipal tourism authority said the arrival of the first foreign visitors on the first day of the new year marks the fine start of the city’s tourism industry in 2019. They said they hope the tour will leave deep imprints on the mind of the visitors about the friendly and hospitable locals and scenic sites in the city.

Over the recent years, Da Nang has emerged as an attractive destination for both foreign and Vietnamese tourists. At the end of last year, the city had 23 direct air routes with 328 flights per week, or 86 flights more than the figure in 2017, and welcomed 7,660,000 tourist arrivals, including 2,875,000 foreign.

Also last year, Da Nang welcomed 100 arrivals of cruisers to Tien Sa port with 145,000 visitors, a surge of 66% in the number of cruise tourists registered a year earlier.
